[Scmusenet] "Gore and Folklore" Halloween Tours at Military Museum

Come to the 5th Annual "Gore and Folklore" Halloween tours at the SC
Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum for an evening of South
Carolina ghosts, legends, and frights!

 

As ghoulish guides lead you on a spooky journey through the museum, you
will experience costumed interpretations of unusual and hair-raising
tales associated with both the Civil War and World War I.  During the
tour, guests will hear ghostly stories of strange and unusual events,
visit a haunted WWI trench, and meet many memorable specters along the
way.  Watch out for frights and surprises around every corner!

 

The ghouls and ghosts of the museum will be out in full force on October
29 and 30, 2008. Tour times are 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 and each tour
lasts approximately 45 minutes.  Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.50
for children 12 and under.  For reservations, call 803-737-8095.  This
event is not recommended for young children.  

 

Founded in 1896, the South Carolina Confederate Relic Room and Military
Museum is the oldest museum in the Columbia area.  The museum focuses on
South Carolina's military history from the Revolutionary War to the
present War on Terror.
