Militia Day: The Regulators at The Plantation

Have you ever heard of the Regulator Movement? If not, you must visit Walnut
Grove for this event. Local reenactors of the South Carolina Rangers will be
available to discuss the movement and they’ll be demonstrating camp cooking
techniques of the Revolutionary period as well as fire making skills and
other military survival techniques. Militia drills and weapons
demonstrations will occur throughout the day and Blacksmith Bruce Mills will
be in the forge. The guided tours of the house will be available on the hour
and half-hour with the last beginning at 4:00. Bring a picnic and make a day
of it!

Saturday, August 29th
11:00-4:00
