Next week, there will be several exciting events happening at Historic
Columbia:
*Wine and Cheese Reception with Woodrow Wilson Family Home Architects*
Enjoy a wine and cheese reception as architects from John Milner Associates
(JMA) and a representative from Huss, Inc. discuss Phase 1 of the Woodrow
Wilson Rehabilitation project. Representatives will lead hard hat tours of
the site and provide recent updates since work began in May.
Louisville-based JMA specializes in historic preservation and cultural
resource services. General contracting firm Huss Inc., based in Charleston,
SC, spcializes in historic preservation projects.
The Woodrow Wilson Family Home is undergoing a three-phase rehabilitation
process that will return portions of the home to its Wilson-era appearance.

*Women's Colleges of Hampton-Preston Exhibit Opening Reception*
Join Historic Columbia as we debut our new circa-1915 dormitory room on the
2nd floor of Hampton-Preston Mansion. This room celebrates the lives and
achievements of the students of two women's colleges, College for Women and
Chicora College, that were on this site from 1890-1930.

*Lantern Tour of Seibels House*
Guests are invited to take an evening adventure as a costumed guide leads
tours through our historic homes by lantern light every fourth Thursday of
the month at 8 p.m. from April to September. Learn about the history and
significance of the houses and their connection to Columbia. Guests will
tour the Seibels House from April to June and the Hampton-Preston from July
to September.

Admission is $10 for non-members, $5 for children of non-members, $5 for
members, and $3 for children of members.
