SCFM represents South Carolina's most active community of museums and museum professionals. Members recieve insight about news and issues affecting the state's museums as well participate in an array of training opportunities including The SCFM Annual Conference.
SCFM members are eligible to apply for fellowships in the form of financial support for professional development in the museum field. Fellowships can be used to pay for seminars, workshops and classes that members would otherwise be unable to attend due to lack of funding.
By offering a wide arry of workshops and conference sessions, SCFM continues to set the highsest level of professionalism within both its ranks and the South Carolina museum community.
SCFM is committed to telling the stories of South Carolina museums and promoting a deeper understanding of the importance and roles of our institutions with policymakers, the press and the public.
