Upcountry History Museum- Furman University

In 2012 Furman University and the Upcountry History Museum entered into a partnership that united the intellectual and cultural resources of both institutions to advance the Museum’s mission of promoting, presenting, and preserving the history of Upcountry South Carolina. The agreement was finalized on February 1, 2012, and called for Furman to assume full responsibility for the operation and management of the museum and its various activities. The Museum’s Board of Directors, retained ownership of the facilities, and provide assistance with membership and fundraising activities. Today the Upcountry History Museum – Furman University remains committed to helping people make meaningful and personal connections to history.

This museum offers free or reduced admission to SCFM admission.
